Spindle Seal and Bearing Kit, Heavy Duty, Dana 44

Heavy duty Dana 44 spindle rebuild kit.  If you do river crossings, you'll want our heavy duty version.  The spindle bearing is the same, but where this part shines in with the seal between the spindle and the axle shaft.  In the stock version, the "V" seal is flimsy, there's no spring to hold tension on the axle shaft, and it's best suited to keep out road splash.  Once the hub goes underwater, water goes right by, and into the bearings.  THAT'S why you chose this one!  The spindle seal presses (block of wood and hammer) behind the spindle bearing, and has a lipped seal WITH a spring to hold tension on the axle shaft.  The bellows seal and slinger are BOTH replaced by the bellows seal in this kit.  It presses on using your thumbs onto the stub shaft, and is flexible to create a seal against the back side of the spindle (see squished picture).  Just make sure you take off the metal slinger, or it doesn't fit ;)

This kit includes one spindle bearing, actual sprung seal, and the bellows type seal  This replaces the images for exploded view numbers 47, 48, 49, and 50 circled.
