Dana 60, King Pin Upper Spring

Dana 60 king pin spring.  See images for the exploded view, and #46 circled.  This spring keeps the preload on the plastic bushing that sits on top of the upper king pin.  Like other springs, this one can wear. 

If you're running large tires (38" or taller), offset rims, or bias ply tires, you need to eliminate this spring altogether with our springless steering arms or springless cap.  The spring was designed to handle a 31" pizza cutter tire/wheel, and when you increase the weight, the additional inertia can be too much for the spring, and collapses it over bumps.  The result is Deathwobble.
